Bolognese Baked Ziti

Ground Beef Pasta Penne Marinara Tomatoes Baked Italian Ziti Bolognese Recipe by Ash's In The Kitchen

Dinner tonight was Baked Ziti using the marinara I made the other day and I ate entirely too much of it. 😬 I know traditional baked ziti doesn’t usually have meat or veggies in it, but what can I say, I’m a meat eater! 🤣

Bolognese Baked Ziti

Servings: 7 Cooking Time: 30 Minutes

• 1 box Penne Pasta
• 6 cups Marinara Sauce
• 1 lb Ground Beef
• 1 lb Italian Sausage
• 1 cup Mushrooms; chopped
• 1 cup Onion; chopped
• 2 cloves Garlic; minced
• Salt and Pepper to taste
• 1 cup Ricotta Cheese
• 1 cup Parmesan Cheese
• 1 cup Mozzarella
• 1 cup Cheddar

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Bring a large pot of liberally salted water to a boil and add the pasta. Cook until al dente and drain.
  3. In a Dutch oven over medium-high heat, cook beef, sausage, mushrooms, garlic and onions until the meat is cooked through. Drain and add in the pasta, ricotta and marinara sauce. Mix until well combined and scoop into a large baking dish or skillet.
  4. Top the ziti with the cheeses and bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is golden and the sauce is bubbling at the edges.
  5. Allow to cool for 5 minutes and serve!
  6. Enjoy!
