This soup was a hit! It’s low carb and packed with vegetables. You can use chicken or turkey instead of ham if that’s your preference. Definitely adding this to my go-to winter soup recipes!

1 Tablespoon Bacon Grease
1 large Onion; chopped
1 cup Carrot; sliced
4 cups Cabbage; shredded
1 cup Zucchini; chopped
1 cup Celery; chopped
3 cloves Garlic; minced
1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
1 teaspoon Ancho Chile Powder
1 teaspoon Onion Powder
1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
1 Tablespoon “Slap Ya Mama” seasoning
½ teaspoon Dill Weed
Salt and Pepper to taste
3 ½ cups Ham; cubed
3 quarts Chicken Broth

- Heat a large dutch oven over medium heat and add the bacon grease. Sauté the onions, cabbage, carrots and zucchini until tender.
- Season the vegetables with the salt, pepper, spices and dill. Add the ham and pour in the chicken broth. Taste and season accordingly.
- Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 30 minutes.
- Enjoy!
